Founder & CEO
Magdalene Lafontant
Magdalene has been an Esthetician for over 21yrs. She holds a Diploma in Esthetics and Physiatrics from the International Therapy Examination Council from England.
Magdalene has gained a lot of experience over the years by managing onboard spas on the cruise ships. She has been a spa manager to some of the top rated spas here in Canada. She's an expert in retail sales training and has worked with numerous skincare lines from Europe and North America. She's a Part time Medical Esthetics instructor at a private college and is the brand owner of Nakai Skincare and Cosmetics.
She also loves giving back to the community. A huge advocate on girl empowerment, she volunteers at the Jean Augustine Centre, Power to Girls and is the director of community engagement for Sesheme Foundation.⠀
Her passion in health and beauty is one of the main reasons why she started PEMA. Her goal is to continuously build the positive reputation that every professional esthetician deserves. ⠀

Director
Rosette Okala
Rosette has over 10years of experience in contracts and risk management and currently holds a managerial position at a pharmaceutical organization. Prior to joining her current role, she worked as a senior Consultant for one of the accounting “big 4” on contracts/risk management, and has held other positions in the healthcare sector prior to that, a field she is deeply passionate about.
Rosette is bilingual and holds an MBA from the University of Fredericton and a degree in Health Management from York University.
She is the Co-founder of “Okala Foundation”, a not-for-profit organization that aims to alleviate financial burden to students in Cameroon, DR Congo and Zimbabwe by offering scholarships for their tuitions.

Board Member
Michelle Robinson
Michelle Robinson, a self- proclaimed skin enthusiast who has always been passionate about skincare decided to make the decision to transition from the corporate world to Esthetics and enrolled in the Esthetician and Medical Spa Therapist program at George Brown College.
Michelle specializes in skin condition specific facials, and incorporates goal oriented results while offering the relaxation and pampering of a classic facial.
Michelle has worked in some of the Top Spas in downtown Toronto.
Michelle is currently a Medical Esthetics College Instructor at a private college in Toronto, where she is able to use her knowledge and skills obtained through education and various work experiences with her students to prepare them for this continuously evolving industry.
Michelle is currently working on her own business venture in Esthetics which she plans to introduce to the world in 2022.

Board Member
Roy Gombiro
Roy is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) with over 10yrs of experience working in various sectors including Health Care and Real Estate. Roy has held a variety of roles of increasing responsibility and scope in corporate finance, accounting, financial reporting and currently holds a Controller position for a Toronto-based Asset Management firm, with $20bn assets under management.
Outside of his duties, Roy is involved in different community initiatives including participating in a collective focused on black men in Toronto. Roy earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Africa University.

Hailey Jung
Hailey Jung was born in Korea and has been living in Canada for over 16yrs now. She has been an esthetician for 11 years.She began her passion in Esthetics at a private esthetic school in Korea.Hailey continued her education in medical esthetics here in Canada where she obtained her medical esthetics diploma.
Hailey also studied philosophy and education at a University in South Korea. She enjoys volunteering. And is a huge advocate for orphans.

Treasurer
Sinqobile Ndlovu
Sinqo is a Certified Business Analyst from University of Toronto. She works for a healthcare organization which she has been with for over 9yrs.Her primary role is to monitor business and operational processes and provide assistance to clients and stakeholders. She also performs business and client requirement analysis in support of the organization’s development and deployment projects. She spends a lot of her time being the mediator between the stakeholders and the business needs, which allows her to analyze data and use the findings to solve business problems. Sinqo is passionate about helping people in whatever capacity that drives people to success.
Having her in the healthcare industry is a huge plus for PEMA as she gets to play a huge role on what we stand for as an association. Sinqo is also involved in the black community making an impact on new immigrants and seniors in the Toronto community.
